Roman cities of Algeria and Ghardaia

Program
Day 1 : Algiers
We will start with the heights of the city to discover the monument Makam Echahid. Then depending on the arrival we will have a panoramic tour to see more of Algiers.
Day 2 : Algiers
Today we will visit the city, to see remarkable buildings, emblematic of the architectural styles.
Lunch, and city tour starting in the famous Grande Poste and the national theater. Then we will go to the wilaya (the prefecture of Algiers) and the Galeries de France, converted into a museum of modern art.
We will finish with the visit of the basilica Notre Dame d’Afrique on the heights of Algiers. Dinner in a Casbah Palace.
Day 3 : Algiers-Cherchell-Tipaza-Algiers
Direction Cherchell, the Roman Caesarea for visit of the National Cherchell Museum.
Continuing with the magical Tipaza, and its archaeological remains overlooking the turquoise waters.
On the way back to Algiers visit the tomb of Mauretania commonly known as the Tomb of the Christian woman.
Day 4 : Flight Algiers to Ghardaïa
In the morning, we will visit the Casbah starting with the Dey Palace and the centenary house. Then we will meet a cabinetmaker. Afther that we will go to the Sidi Ramdane mosque, and the Bir Chebana fountain.
Then we will continue with the Palace of Princess Khedaoudj and the Mustapha Pasha Palace. We will also go to the Calligraphy Museum.
After a lunch at the Casbah, we will discover the National Museum of Antiquity and Islamic Arts. Finnishing with the Bardo Museum.
Flight from Algiers to Ghardaïa and transfer to the Palm grove of Béni Isguen. Installation in a guest house.
Day 05 : Ghardaïa-The Pentapole
Visit of the Ghardaïa Market and the irrigation system, fantastic by its efficiency.
Lunch in Ghardaïa
Afternoon visit the city of Beni-Isguen and its auction market and the Boulila Tour.
Dinner at the Palmeraie.
Day 06: Flight Ghardaïa - Constantine
In the morning we will visit in Ghardaïa El Atteuf, (first city built in the M’zab valley) classified by the Unesco.
Lunch in Ghardaïa
Afternoon: transfer to Ghardaia’s airport for flight to Constantine.
Day 7: Constantine (Cirta) - Tiddis
In the morningwe will visit Tiddis, the antique roman ruins and its museum.
We will return to Constantine for lunch.
And in the afternoon we will go to the museum of Cirta, perched above the Rhumel gorges.
We will discover the famous suspended bridges of Constantine. And its Roman aqueduct still standing and visible in the city center.
Then, we will visit the museum of constantine, the Bey Palace, and the Emir Abdelkader Mosque.
Day 8: Constantine- Medracen - Lambeasis - Timgad - Batna
Early departure for Batna, through the region of Chotts and its salt lakes, in the way we will visit the Medracen,
Continuation to Timgad to have lunch.
In the afternoon we will visit the roman city of Timgad,
And we will take the road to Batna.
Day 9: Batna - Djemila - Sétif
Early departure towards Sétif, for arrival in Djemila.
We will explore this roman city classified by Unesco.
After this amazing visit, we will return to Constantine.
Day 10: Sétif - Béjaïa
Today we will head towards Béjaïa and arrive at the end of the morning.
In the afternoon we will visit to the old town and enjoy its seafront.
Day 11: Béjaïa
We will start visiting the Pic des Singes and the Cap Carbon.
It’s an absolutely breathtaking site to enjoy a wonderful scenery and maybe make friends with a monkey.
We will continue with the visit of the old Casbah and the famous place Gueydon, that offers an overview of the city.
Day 12: Béjaïa – Algiers
Today we will return to Algiers.
In the afternoon we will enjoy a walk in the garden “Jardin d’Essai”.Followed by the visit of the Fine Arts museum.
Day 13: Return flight
For our final day we will have free time until airport transfer for return flight.
