Day 1 : Arrival in Djanet & Camping in Tinamali
Your journey begins with a flight from Paris to Djanet (via Rome).
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your local tour team and transferred to your hotel in Djanet for a restful night before the adventure begins.
Day 2 : Tinamali to El Berdj
After breakfast, you will depart from Tinamali early in the morning and begin a one-hour trek towards El Berdj.
Once you arrive, you’ll have time to explore the stunning sandy expanse of the area. You will spend the night at a desert camp in El Berdj, under the stars.
Day 3 : El Berdj to Moul Naga
Today, you will embark on a 4 to 6-hour trek through the breathtaking gorges of El Berdj.
Along the way, you’ll discover towering dunes and dramatic desert landscapes. By evening, you’ll reach Moul Naga, where your bivouac will be set up for an overnight stay.
Day 4 : Moul Naga to Bouhadan
After enjoying breakfast at the camp, you will continue your journey with a 4 to 6-hour trek through the pink dunes and prehistoric rock carvings of Moul Naga. You will also visit the remarkable engravings at Wan Iska.
Later in the day, you’ll head towards the Guelta of Bouhadan and settle in for the night at your desert camp.
Day 5 : Bouhadan to Tin Merzouga
You will wake up early to begin a 6-hour trek to an important archaeological site featuring Neolithic-era rock paintings in the Bovidian style. The journey continues as you explore the Tin Merzouga Erg, home to majestic red dunes that reach heights of up to 600 meters.
You will spend the night at a camp nestled within this breathtaking desert landscape.
Day 6 : Tin Merzouga to Tamezguida
After an early breakfast, you will trek for 4 to 6 hours across diverse desert terrain. You’ll hike around the Tin Merzouga dunes, discovering a wide variety of natural landscapes.
Your day ends with a visit to the stunning arches of Tamezguida, followed by an overnight stay at the camp.
Day 7 : Tamezguida to Adjlati
In the morning, you will set out on a 2-hour trek before following a wadi through Djaren, a region known for its extraordinary cave paintings.
You will continue on to Adjlati, where you will arrive in the evening and spend the night at the camp.
Day 8 : Adjlati to Djanet
You will depart for Djanet early in the morning, stopping on the way to visit Tegharghart, home to the famous ‘Crying Cow’ rock engraving, a relic from the Early Hunter period. In the afternoon, you’ll return to your hotel in Djanet to enjoy a shower and some well-deserved rest.
Later, you can head out to explore the city before spending your final night in Djanet.
Day 9 : Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Rome, marking the end of your unforgettable Saharan adventure.
